Johannesburg
Johannesburg is one of Africa’s biggest and most vibrant cities. It is the economic capital of Africa and the gateway to Southern Africa. Although not as famous as other South African destinations, there is plenty to do in Johannesburg and nearby Pretoria. The old city is a multi-cultural mixture of traditional medicine shops, Chinese restaurants, taxi ranks, and ultra-modern skyscrapers. There are excellent museums, art galleries and organised tours of historical and political interest. The shopping is Southern Africa’s best and the many restaurants cater for all tastes. The nearby township of Soweto is Johannesburg’s most popular tourist attraction.

Cape Town City Tour Half Day
On a clear day from the summit of Table Mountain you get spectacular views of the City, its Waterfront, Camps Bay, the majestic Hottentots Holland Mountains to the East and the mountains of the Cape Peninsula all the way down to Cape Point to the south.
The Table Mountain cableway, a must for all visitors to the Cape, boasts revolving floors, giving passengers a 360 degree view. After descending the mountain, you will depart on a tour of the “Mother City” taking in Signal Hill – where the Noon Day Gun is fired at midday, every day except Sunday – through the colourful Bo-Kaap or Cape Malay Quarter, past the Grand Parade, City Hall and the Castle of Good Hope and South African Cultural History Museum.
District 6
Apartheid’s most infamous removal site.
Castle of Good Hope
The Castle of Good Hope is the oldest surviving building in South Africa. Built between 1666 and 1679, this pentagonal fortification replaced a small clay and timber fort built by Commander Jan van Riebeeck in 1652 upon establishing a maritime replenishment station art the Cape of Good Hope for the Dutch East India Company, better known as the VOC (Verenigde Oos-Indische Compagnie).
South African Museum
At the South African Museum, you can see everything from dinosaurs to rock art and fossils to a stuffed quagga, the extinct zebra that once graced Table Mountain. These exhibitions document the evolution of animals and man in Africa. One of the highlights is the Whale Well where you can listen to whale sounds and see a life-size, 20 meter-long skeleton of the planet’s largest mammal; the Blue Whale. This is always a crowd-pleaser with the kids.
Table Mountain
Without a doubt, it is Table Mountain that makes Cape Town the unique city it is. Rising up over 1000m above sea level, it is the icon that makes Cape Town instantly recognizable. It is a symbol, a playground, a spiritual retreat and a big drawcard for tourists. So intertwined with the identity of Cape Town is Table Mountain that a visit to the city isn’t complete without having walked or taken the cable car to the top.
Table Mountain Cableway
A trip up Table Mountain is quite rightly one of the first things a tourist wants to do when arriving in Cape Town. Once on the top, a 1000m above the city below, you are rewarded with spectacular 360 views. Take your time and enjoy this unique environment, go for a walk or have a bit to eat at the restaurant with arguably one of the best views possible.

Cape Point is open daily and is a must-see.
Boulders Penguin Colony
The Boulders Visitor Centre is home to the famous colony of Jackass Penguins, so called for their hilarious braying call. This is a truly special experience and Table Mountain National Park staff are knowledgeable and offer guided tours. After you have fallen in love with the penguins head to the secluded Boulders Beach and take a swim in the comparatively warm waters of the False Bay.
Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens
On the lower slopes of Table Mountain, the beautiful Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens showcases some of the Cape’s rich flora. Taking centre stage here is the unique ‘fynbos’ vegetation. Those who work up an appetite while exploring this garden paradise can visit the restaurant or tea room, which are fully stocked with delicious meals, yummy treats, and refreshing beverages. In summer, Sunday music concerts provide sunset entertainment. Kirstenbosch is rated as the seventh best of its kind in the world.
Seal Island Hout Bay
Trips departing from Hout Bay Harbour ferry passengers across to nearby Duiker Island – also known as Seal Island – where thousands of Cape Fur Seals can be seen in their natural habitat. The boat trip provides beautiful views of the bay, the harbour, The Sentinel and Chapman’s Peak.

Shark Cage Diving with White Shark Ecoventures
White Shark Ecoventures invites you cage diving with great white sharks in the aptly named “Shark Alley”, near the fishing village of Gansbaai, South Africa.
Sharks are quite possibly the world’s most feared animals. From the smallest sand shark to the enormous whale shark, they are sleek, muscled, and some are almost as agile as a dolphin. There is no doubt that they are the most evolved predators in the ocean. Row upon row of teeth and capable of sensing the blood of an injured animal from over a kilometer away, it’s not surprising that they are the most feared creature beneath the waves. And of them all, the Great White is the most awesome.
What we are offering you is the opportunity to dive and meet a Great White Shark, face to face – and on your own terms. Its an education and you will soon learn that this magnificent creature is in fact, highly misunderstood. It is a creature which should be more respected than feared. And if you spend some quality time with us, and with them, you will quickly learn why.

Knysna Springtide Charters Sunset Cruise
A romantic sunset cruise on board the 50ft yacht, Outeniqua is the perfect way to end your day in Knysna.
The magnificent Knysna Heads are among the most remarkable features on South Africa’s coastline and a perfect backdrop for an ocean sunset and a spot of bubbly. This sailing activity takes you from the lagoon, through the heads to the open sea aboard a luxurious yacht.
Although we are not a permitted whale watching vessel, guests can expect to see a diverse range of marine life from whales and dolphins to a host of pelagic birds endemic to our pristine coastline.
After a sublime sail, we return to the calmer waters of the Knysna Estuary and serve a delicious feast of Mediterranean style cuisine along with a glass of fine South African Cap Classique.
All our trips are ocean-going trips and are weather and sea conditions dependent. Only the skipper of the vessel can make a judgment call on these conditions which are determined on the day of the charter. Conditions are influenced by tide, wind direction & speed, and sea swell, therefore going out through the Knysna Heads is never guaranteed.

Port Elizabeth
Port Elizabeth or PE is known as the Friendly City and the Windy City and hopefully, if you stay here you will get a chance to experience the former and not the latter. Port Elizabeth was established to accommodate British settlers who were bought out on a government-sponsored programme to provide a buffer between the warring Cape Dutch and the Xhosa. The little port grew from there and today it is the gateway to the Garden Route, as well as the Eastern Cape’s game reserves and beaches.
